V6 Update Download and Install Instructions

This Update requires a conversion!

Step 1

To download, click on ISS Update 6.21.29. We suggest that you download this file into your TEMP folder.
Note: Some e-mail programs will automatically self extract zip files after download.

Step 2

Go to Windows Explorer.

• Right-click on Start.
• Left-click on Explore.

Open the folder containing the downloaded ISS6_21_29.zip (example c:/TEMP).

Step 3

Double-click on ISS6_21_29.zip to extract files (extract to c:/TEMP).

                             OR

Click Extract All Files – follow prompts to extract to c/TEMP.

Step 4

Double-click on the ISS6_21_29 update folder (example – c:/TEMP/ISS6_21_29).

Select All files except the _System32 folder.

Click on Edit at the top of the screen.

Click Copy.

Open the ISS6 folder (example – c:/ISS6 or c:/Program Files/ISS6)

Click on Edit at the top of the screen.

Click Paste. Answer “Yes” when asked if you want to overwrite the existing files.

If you are networked, you MUST copy the update files to ALL machines.

Conversion Information

If you are upgrading a release earlier than 6.20.xx, run all of the appropriate conversions.

Upgrade from 6.20.xx (xx=release number) to 6.21.xx – Single System or Network Server. DO NOT run this on workstations.

From the ISS6 folder, double-click on ISSConvert_6_21.exe.
Select the Server.
Click Connect.
Click OK.
Click Close when the Status box displays “Operation complete.”
